Ingredients
-
2 slices of bacon (optional)
-
1 lb sirloin ground beef
-
8 medium slices of tomato
-
1 1/2 cups chopped lettuce
-
4 burger rolls
-
1 tsp mayonnaise
-
2 oz Mardona Prickly Pear Grilling Sauce
Directions
Place the ground beef in a bowl, add 1 to 2 ounces of the MarDona Prickly Pear Grilling Sauce (to taste) and mix well. Take a palm size amount of beef and pat down into a patty.
When you're ready to cook, use an indoor or outdoor grill. If neither is available, use the oven on broil, but don't fry them if you can help it!
Grill the burgers to your liking. Just before you are ready to remove the burgers from the grill, spread a fine coat of grilling sauce over each side of the burger and spread the mayo on the inside of the buns. Finally, remove the burgers, place them on the buns, add the tomato, the lettuce and the (optional) bacon.
The Prickly Pear sauce that was added at the end will blend in with the mayo and make an additional sauce. You won't need ketchup! This sauce is also delicious on fries.
